BLOODWORK: SHIGE

Spent a full and productive day photographing Shige and his clientele in Yokahama.

Dinner afterwards with the whole group. Gochisousama Shige san.

BLOODWORK: NAGOYA

Substandard iPhone photo but I couldn't help but post this one from the Nagoya sleepover.

BLOODWORK: BLIND DRIVIN'

Sometimes you gotta let go to live. Usually, if you do let go, you're lucky to live. Here Masa reinforces the statement while he drives(?) to the aforementioned black op location.

BLOODWORK: NAGOYA

Received word that we needed to travel north in the morning. Anonymity is required for certain parties during this part of our adventure, so its prudent we don't reveal exactly where.

Instead of driving back to Osaka, we decided to stay overnight in Nagoya. Found a nice place for to crash. Mornings, however, are irrelevant at this point in the game. Can hardly discern where on the planet we are, let alone what day or time it might be...

BLOODWORK: HORIGYN

First stop on the last Japan BloodWork capture campaign, Horyigin's Sword of Rebel in Nagoya. Always good to see an ol' friend.

We were here last year to photograph his clientèle for the coming book. Now we are back to capture images of the same collectors for the 360 photos that will accompany the book.

ATAKers

It goes without saying (but occasionally it's worth stating) how fortunate I am to work with such a dedicated group of socially maladjusted creatives (including the guy behind the lens).
Thanks guys for flying halfway around the world to hang some pictures, sleep on floors, and scribble in a couple books.

PS... In the event of a futile water landing, and to ensure posthumous pioty, I forward dated this entry to post while flying 30,0000' above the Pacific.

OSAKA: CRITTER BURGER

There's a burger truck in Osaka called Critter Burger (yup). During the BloodWork exhibition the bovine murder van pulled up and promptly began peddling "Three Tides" burgers... Deep in the branding abyss someone is chuckling.

JP: FOOD, WORK, FRIENDS

Matt, Masa, and I bounced around JP on our way from Osaka to Tokyo. Eventually made it all the way up to Yokohama before scooting back down to Tokyo. Checked into a weekly hotel, ate, got drunk, wandered around, blacked out. Woke up and started tattooing (pine for the days when tattooing out of a hotel was no problem). Later in the evening we visited with friends and had some really amazing food. For the next five days we basically repeated the same daily routine before bouncing our way back to Osaka.
